Our Transfer Credit Policies

At New England College, we know our working adult and online students are likely to already have college credits when they apply to earn a degree with us. That’s why we offer generous transfer credit opportunities, so you can:

  • Avoid repeating courses you’ve taken before
  • Potentially finish your degree faster
  • Save on time and costs

We allow students to transfer up to 75% of the total credit for their program. Associate degree students can transfer up to 44 credits of previous coursework, while bachelor’s degree students can transfer up to 90 credits of coursework.

Transfer credit is subject to approval and conditions apply. In general, we consider:

  • Classes taken at a regionally accredited U.S. college or university (or international equivalent) in which you earned a grade of at least C- (1.7 GPA)
  • College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests
  • Approved U.S. military training courses
